CONSUME.
Crashing waves on the ocean’s shoreline stirred a creature with abnormally long extra set of arms, of course, the being was octopus like, half human and half squid of some kind. It struggled against the waves, clutching a precious treasure in one hand as he moved about with the other seven. A small cove, which would be perfect. Pulling itself upon the ledge, tired, so very tired, it struggled to get out of the water, but instead, it just leaned against it, both human arms crossed as it held the small thing. Small thing round and a mucky swampy brownish red. The man purred, it was happy, its body shivered from lack of energy. It moved the arm out, object in hand, and set it down in a bed of moss. Fingers traced the odd designs that jutted off of it, but it was beautiful in its own way.
A strangled breath, a wince of pain, heart beating slower and slower. He clung onto the flat rock, resting his head on his arms, his tentacles seeming to be lifeless now, pushing and pulled by the gentle current. He closed his eyes, smiled, and opened them. He was glad he was at least leaving something behind, otherwise, who would remember? Every jar of honey he consumed was thanks to those entirely he adored, all his friends. Did they remember him? Did they? Well, it didn’t matter to him, he hoped they didn’t, for then they would worry, mourn, be distracted. Another purr escaped his lips. He moved a tentacle to wrap around one of his thin arms, he lost so much weight. Overfishing was one, but the depression had its hold on him, digging the claws into his skin and devouring his every essence. Food became poison; his favorite became his most hated. Honey, he missed the sweet taste of it, he missed when his friends would offer him some. He missed them dearly.
Purring again, a tear fell, he didn’t know why, didn’t urge himself to cry, no. He felt happier now that he was near. He reached out again to adjust the object, letting out another purring sigh. The tentacle fell from his arm, his body began to slip. He let out another weak purr, his lips forming words, his voice failing to carry them out. He slipped under the waves, crossing his hands over one another and resting them upon his shrunken chest. He held his breath, but his lungs were so weak, he released it in streams of childish bubbles, a smile on his face as he closed his eyes. His voice was strained, but clear.
“Au revoir … Prenez garde, mon enfant. “ He whispered. Goodbye… Take care, my child.
The object that was nestled on a nest of moss was an egg, his legacy, his prized possession. He hoped that one day, it would hatch and share with those the happiness he shared. He let the final breath go, a smile on his face as he sunk into the depths. Farewell, Dominique.
If any of y’all remember the lil red tentaspy named Dominique who loved seashells and would give coral as gifts and loved the deliciousness of whatever he loved.
This guy right here. http://tentadominique.tumblr.com
Well since I’ve been away from tumblr for nearly half a year since it wouldn’t work on my mother’s laptop, I had finally gotten a new computer, and I come back, but I wonder if anyone even remembers this guy. Well, I hate to say this, but he passed away about four days ago due to starvation and severe depression. Where he died, I don’t know, when, I don’t know. I’m sorry, but if you have questions about him, you’re free to message my new tumblr which is http://objectionable-apparatus.tumblr.com . I’m sorry, but I couldn’t come on, and in time, he passed on. Sorry again. I just lost motivation to make him happy, since he hasn’t seen anyone for a long time. He won’t eat, he won’t move, he does nothing.
Rest in peace, my sweet baby angel.
I’m just bawling in tears, I had so much fun with him, but away from tumblr for so long, has made me depressed.
I feel ignored and my cat is twitching like crazy, silly dreaming cat. I’m going to hop off since I.. I dunno. *shrug* I always feel ignored online so.. E-Yup.
Toodles.
What Made Milkwaukee Famous - The Other Side
We should overcome,
There’s enough at stake,
For us to tear the walls down and escape.
Leave it all behind,
Erase and start anew,
It’s not a question - if it’s just what we should do.
There’s hope for anyone on the other side.
But what’s the use in hope if we’re afraid of trying?
We should understand,
And try to sympathize,
With the kind of people we despise.
There’s nothing left to lose,
Except for compromise,
Looking at the world through someone else’s eyes.
We’ve got a lot to learn from the other side,
But we’re too proud to see what we’re busy denying.
There’s salvation waiting on the other side,
We don’t want to live, but we’re afraid of dying.
Life is what you choose,
Love is what you make,
Success is based on chances that you take.
So, we’re the ones to blame,
If absolution is denied,
Because we were so concerned about the other side.
